City Council Action 12/5/06

By Mike Johnson

In action Tuesday night (12/5/06) the Cody city council voted to approve the final plat of the Chamberlin Inn Condominium Addition with waivers and conditions recommended by the Planning & Zoning Board. Just before the board voted, the property owners and council learned that the property had a couple of very small encroachments on city property. A sliver of two buildings encroach on city property and had gone undetected since 1904. The council directed the city staff to draw up a long term lease with the property owners not to exceed $1 per year to legally solve the problem.

The council also voted to approve Rivers Bend Mobile Home Park's request to hook into city sewer without being annexed first. The park owners will pay all expenses related to the hookup and agree to be annexed any time in the future. Rivers Bend is owned by the reporter of this article.
