According to an article in the Cody Enterprise, the Cody City Council voted 5-2 to terminate the current employment contract of city administrator Laurie Kadrich effective November 1. Kadrich did not comment on the action and neither party issued a statement about what is expected to happen next, although Jim Vanaman of the council expressed the hope a new contract could be negotiated by November 1.
Councilmembers Joe Bush and Cliff Main voted against terminating the contract. The mayor and other council members voted to terminate the contract. Councilmember Steve Miller is the member who initially raised the idea of terminating the contract but has refused to elaborate on his reasons why.
