McDonalds Restaurant Owner Jerry Banks held a spectacular Re-Grand Opening at 9 am today (2/14/06). The event included music played by the Cody High School Band, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, free drinks and the chance for guests to tour the new kitchen and make their own Egg McMuffins.
Banks says the remodel only took months of construction but was years in the planning. He traveled throughout the region to study other innovative McDonald decors before finalizing his plans.
His "new" McDonald's has an upgraded kitchen for faster order preparation, redecorated decor and seating, an exterior upgrade and a magnificent water wall in the front lobby.
"I wanted to create a signature feature," said Banks.

In April, once the weather stabilizes, the restaurant will add a "side-by-side" drive-thru lane to improve service in the drive-thru. Nationwide, more than 50% of all McDonald's sales come via drive-thru. Banks also owns the Powell McDonald's and has been an owner since 1991.
