Millie Johnson, Loyal, Loving & Devoted Friend

February 14, 1996 - February 24, 2011

Millie is a 15-year-old Border collie mix who loves to catch Frisbees (now retired), herd birds and swim in the local reservoir. She was abandoned and skinny when Mike adopted her in November, 1997.

Border collies make tremendous Frisbee dogs because they are very intelligent, extremely focused and love to run and catch. They are a very popular breed in Wyoming, used on ranches to herd sheep, cattle and horses. Medium in size but huge in stature, Border collies love working so much that if you don't give them a job, they'll make one up. In Millie's case, her job is catching Frisbees.

The photo of Millie above, appeared on the June 7, 1999 front page of the Billings Gazette and was taken by Ken Blackbird.

Millie and Mike have entered Frisbee dog contests throughout the west. The duo has earned one championship (Cody, WY 2002) and placed in the Top 10 in every contest they've entered. To learn more about Millie and the results of her various competitions, just click on the links below.
